If you contact JurisTrace by email, we may receive the information included in your message, including your name, email address and the details you choose to share. We use that information to respond to your inquiry, consider a possible engagement or communicate about work you have requested.
Website information
This website does not use a public contact form, advertising service or analytics service to track visitors. Like most websites, the hosting provider may automatically create technical logs when the site is accessed. These may include IP address, browser or device information, pages requested, and the date and time of access. These logs are used for security, operation and troubleshooting.
Sharing and safeguarding information
JurisTrace does not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers that operate the website and email services, only as needed to provide those services. JurisTrace takes reasonable steps to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Sensitive project records
Do not send confidential, privileged, Indigenous Knowledge-restricted, sacred-site, highly location-sensitive or otherwise protected project records through the public website or ordinary introductory email. An engagement process, authorization basis and approved file-transfer method must be confirmed first.
Retention
JurisTrace keeps personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including communication, service delivery, recordkeeping and legal or operational requirements.
